Then, Now and Still

Have you ever come across this passage of the scripture? Has the Holy Spirit revealed the deep meanings to you? The passage is in Ecclesiastes  3:15 which says, That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. Let's take the first clause, that which hath been is now;... Let's see Acts  17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Acts  17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Do you see the word, "now" in verse 30? That is to tell us that genuine repentance from all our sins is now! Don't procrastinate it again. The second clause, ...that which is to be hath already been; have you considered the prophecies concerning the birth, reign and crucifixion of Jesus, Isaiah9:6; 53:1-12. It had been fulfilled already. There are no doubts, Jesus had come and gone. But before he left, he gave consolations words and assurances that he will come back, John14:1-4. Now, the third part of that chapter, ...and God requireth that which is past. This place is simply explaining the mind of God to us. He wants us to fear, reverend, love and hallow His name. In most churches now, there is no fear of God, love of God or hallowing of his name. Malachi  1:6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Churches members now prefer false pastors that will teach them heresies to God-sent 2 Timothy  4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. that will teach them the word of God. Once again, God is requiring your past loyalty when you first gave your life to Christ. That time when your conviction was give me Christ and take all the world from me. Have you soon forgotten those commitments and consecrations? When you laid all on the altar. That time you rejected chieftaincy titles, jettisoned your worldly associations(social clubs, society union, associations). Jesus is calling you back today. He wants you to reabsorb your lost love for Him. He is a Saviour today, but Judge tomorrow. Why not be wise and accept Him now before it's too late for you? Pastors, Reverendfathers, Bishops, Deacon(ness), members, remember your first love for Christ. Finally, Christ is saying these words of rebuke and reabsorption to you... Revelation  3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.  3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.  3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. God bless you.
